We bought this bed for my son's bedroom. It's very good looking and well built. It was easy to put together and my husband did so readily and in less than 2 hr. It's a very sturdy piece. We put a 6 inch foam mattress on the top so that little ones can't roll off and it's perfect. The ladders bite into the soles of your feet a bit (perhaps would have been better if they were round and not square). But my 5 yr old doesn't seem to mind.
